Sweet Whitney has been adopted!! From her foster momma: Here is Olive’s (aka Whitney’s) new family! She has a mom, dad, sister and fur brother, Gus. They are a wonderful family and she is going to have a wonderful life. Congrats to Olive and her family. This foster mom will always carry you in her heart.
Welcome sweet girl, Whitney to Rescue. She was found wandering the streets and taken to a local shelter. She was microchipped, but her owners never responded to claim her. We were more than happy to have this precious girl. She has fleas, nearly bald patches and is severely malnourished, but she is heart worm negative. In a few weeks of love and care she will be a beautiful new girl and ready for a loving home.
4/11/16 Update: Whitney remains in the clinic this week where she is being treated for a staph infection. She is looking and feeling so much better. She is doing so well, she is scheduled for her spay on Wednesday. We wish her the best of luck.
4/24/16 Update: SWEET GIRL WHITNEY WANTS TO SAY HI! My new foster girl Whitney is a delight. She has only been in my Bully family for a week and she has already won my heart. Whitney was found on the street and taken to a shelter, where our rescue saved her. Whitney is 4 years old and a quiet, sweet girl.
I have come to realize she has not had a good life. She looks to have had many litters of puppies and appears to also have been abused. When I go to pet her, she lowers her head and falls to the floor like she is waiting for a blow. She is suffering from malnutrition and skin problems, but nothing that food and love will not cure. Even though her first years have been bad, there is a rainbow in her future. I love this girl already! Soon enough I will be sending pictures of a healthy, happy and fat Whitney ready for her forever home.
