Wilson

What happens to a bulldog when it’s owner dies ? Meet Wilson, he will tell you how he felt as he got bounced around from place to place trying to find a new home. Wilson is 7 years old. Last year his Dad died and life as Wilson knew it died then too. Wilson made his way to rescue with a stack of vet papers 4 inches thick, never missed a shot, never missed a meal, never missed love. Today, a year later after being given to different people who always brought Wilson back to the original family, he has finally found some help! Today Wilson is heartworm positive, his eyes are a goopy mess, his ears are infected, he is missing lots of hair, his feet are infected and he just a sad bag of bones thinking “What the heck has happened to me?” Wilson’s last family left him outside to die in this Texas heat, they returned him because he chased their cattle. I talked to Wilson about this and he said “My life as a bulldog is really bad, so I thought I would be a “cow dog” and maybe someone would want me then!” Wilson will need medical help from head to toe, every inch of Wilson is a sad, hot spot mess. Wilson is not asking for a hand out, Wilson needs a hand up to be the bulldog he remembers he was when someone loved and cared for him. Wilson will be in foster care for months recovering, he sure would like to know that he has a loving family waiting for him at the end of the road.  Wilson will be up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and on a heartworm preventative.  His adoption fee will be $400.
