Updated bio:

Well hello to the Lone Star Bulldog Rescue followers! I want to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself. My name is Miss Wrinkles, but I answer to Wrinkles or Wrinky as my foster mom calls me. You already know a little bit about me but thought I’d take a second to give you a little more background about me. I’m a petite bulldog girl, about 6 years old I’m told. My foster family is trying to fatten me up (I had to check the calendar to make sure Thanksgiving wasn’t coming up…whew it’s not) because I was/am so very thin. I’ve put on about 8 pounds in 2 ½ weeks by being on a puppy diet and feeding schedule. Once I get to my target runway model weight, I’ll be on a regular diet and feeding schedule. I’m very timid but I love my ears scratched, my neck rubbed and mostly a good booty rub…that’s my favorite. I’ve been around my foster family’s grandkids and I did well with them. I don’t like to play rough, probably because I’m a petite girl. I’m housebroken, crate trained, know some basic commands like sit and shake, you throw a bone for me I’ll fetch it, and I DON’T get on the furniture although I’ve been invited up there several times. I have a foster bully brother and we sometimes snap at each other, I’m not sure if it’s me or him, we’ll know more in time as we spend more time together. When they get the leash thingy out, I shy away from it…I don’t know why I do that, but once it’s around me, I do just fine walking. I am heartworm positive but please don’t let that stop you. As soon as I get a little more weight on me I’ll get that taken care of. There will be more pictures of me coming soon with my new girlish bully figure. Until then…………… xoxoxo Miss Wrinkles

Original bio:

Miss Wrinkles came to rescue from a local shelter.  She was turned in at the shelter as an owner surrender because they said they could not afford to care for her.  Wrinkles was evaluated and it was determined she was heart worm positive, she is also severely emaciated because of intestinal parasites.  So Miss Wrinkles has become extremely weak from all kinds of parasites.  We are currently treating her for those issues and will address her other health problems when she is well enough.  Wrinkles weighed only 36 pounds when we picked her up but has already gained 4 pounds in a few short days.  Wrinkles will need time and a lot of TLC and food to help her start to feel better.  She will not be available for at least a month but if you are interested in adopting her please feel free to put your application in.  The vet feels she is approximately 6 years old.

Can’t adopt Wrinkles…..think about becoming her sponsor.  Click on the “Sponsor Me” button to help pay for her vet bills that are quickly adding up.

Since Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue is completely volunteer driven we are unable to respond to every application that is submitted.  Therefore we will not contact you unless we feel we have a dog that will fit with your family.
