Zeke has been adopted by a wonderful family. Pictures and story to follow.
Hello, all you cool pups and doggos. Let me introduce myself.
I am a gigantic “Chunk of Hunk,” 91 pounds of hound, but don’t call me the round mound of rebounds because this stud is svelte and ready to melt those hearts.
I’m ready to let one of you lucky Lone Star fans provide me with a place to lay my head, indulge all my snacking desires.
They call me Zeke Zander and of course, I am Tops so you can call me ZZ Top … see what I did there? I know, I know…. hilarious!
Anyhows, I’m a 5-year-old, brindle-coated dream boat that has my eye on you.
I absolutely LOVE meeting new doggos and people, as well! I am always happy (I mean, what could I complain about anyhow?). I dream about an active home with kids. If you have ever wanted a Bulldog who can keep up with you, I may be your guy.
I know how to handle myself inside the house and am slowly learning these things called “commands,” but I got news for ya… I’m the one in command. Heehee… my jokes. Are you laughing as much as I am? I hope so.
Well, that’s enough about me, so let me leave you with this. If you wanna see me wiggle my “Tush” like I did in “La Grange,” you better “Gimmie All Your Lovin'” while I’m in my “Cheap Sunglasses” because “I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide,” but what else would you expect from a “Sharp Dressed Man?” Or Bulldog. Hope to see y’all soon!
10/21/22 Update: Zeke is officially in his foster home and he is settling in in the “new dog” room. He loves his trundle bed with two layers of bed.
He seems to have some issues with his right side (maybe arthritis?) and likes the extra step.
He is getting used to our house sounds and foster sister Jessie Lynn being to total brat to him through the baby gate. She is not happy that he is there, but she will get past it. He is so easy going and sweet and basically just ignores her antics.
More soon on this big feller (91 lbs)! I see green beans in his future!
Also, many thanks to volunteer Tina for Uber’ing him from doc’s to Brian. You are much appreciated!
11/1/22 Update: Zeke has made himself at home. He is attached to Brian with Gorilla Glue and constantly shadows him. He is definitely a man’s dog.
Jessie Lynn is learning to tolerate him being in her world, so all is well there. This baby is the perfect gentleman. He is quiet, tolerant, respectful and so very sweet. He minds his own business and seems to respect the other dogs tenure. He defers to them with toys, chew bones and even treats. He is happy go lucky and just glad to be home. He has his own room without a gate now and comes and goes as he pleases. He does all his business outside (wish my Norman could learn this concept) and loves to walk.
He is rather on the plump side and is getting several walks a day to help with that situation. If he could lose 10lbs his joints would be so much better. He also takes eye meds with no issues and will let you do anything needed to him. He is just a joy to have around, but don’t ask the cats that. He is in the process of learning about cats and boundaries. So far, they have not lost patience with him.
Zeke loves to play tug, balls and rip the stuffing and extremities off all stuffies. He is just a big sweet gentle soul with a playful side. He did bark at treat or treaters last night with the other dogs and let me tell you, his big ole bark will scare anyone off! It certainly got my attention. I had to giggle at him as it seems so strange for such a sweet boy to have such a big, deep bark. Seriously folks, he is just perfect all the way around!
