5/9/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Zuri Renee to our rescue family.

At 3 years old, Bulldogs don’t get much cuter than Zuri Renee. She is as sweet as can be, walks right by your side and just wants to be near her people.
Zuri Renee has had a couple of families in her short life. Her first family had to rehome her unexpectedly, and her second family loved her enough to realize she needed more time and care than they could provide, so they reached out to rescue for help.

Zuri Renee has always been loved and well cared for, but Bulldogs are a special breed that require extra attention, patience and sometimes expensive veterinary care.

Zuri Renee hopped into the rescue wagon without looking back, ready for her fresh start.

While visiting the vet, she charmed everyone she met in the lobby. People stopped to tell her how beautiful she was, and one couple even wanted to take her home on the spot.

After she finishes her vet care, Zuri Renee will be reviewing our approved applicants to find a fabulous family she deserves… one ready to love this beautiful girl for the rest of her life.

Second chances like Zuri Renee’s are only possible because of foster families who open their homes and hearts to dogs in need. We are always in need of more foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, especially for Bulldogs who need a little extra love and care. If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the perfect time. Fostering truly saves lives, and dogs like Zuri Renee are proof of that. Message us to learn how to join our team!

6/29/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Zuri Renee has been settling into her foster home for about a week now, and she’s adjusting beautifully! She has embraced the routine, made herself right at home and is proving to be an absolute sweetheart.

At just 3 years old, Zuri Renee is as sweet as they come. She loves being close to her foster family and is happiest when she’s soaking up attention, snuggles and affection. If there’s a lap to lean on or a human nearby, Zuri Renee is all in!

Like many Bulldogs we know, Zuri Renee is a big fan of mealtime, treats and afternoon naps. One thing she definitely doesn’t love? This Texas heat! Zuri Renee takes care of business outside and then wastes no time making a beeline back to the cool comfort of the air conditioning.

Zuri Renee is calm, well-mannered and easy to have around. She settles nicely in her crate and is getting along well with her resident foster brother, Jax. Every day, Zuri Renee continues to show what a wonderful companion she is, and we can’t wait to watch her confidence continue to grow as she prepares for her next family.

7/8/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Zuri Renee has really settled into her foster home and is becoming more comfortable every day. She is such a calm, gentle and incredibly sweet girl who loves spending time with her people.

This week’s biggest accomplishment? Zuri discovered that pantry doors can be opened with a little determination and the strategic use of her paws! She’s convinced there might be snacks or treats hiding inside, so she’s taken it upon herself to investigate. Her foster family may have created a tiny snack detective!

8/9/26 UPDATE ~ Foster girl Zuri Renee has some advice for you this Sunday morning.

Before you dive headfirst into another crazy week…

Before the alarm clocks start screaming…

Before everyone is looking for missing shoes, backpacks, lunchboxes, homework, and approximately 47 things that were just here a minute ago…

Take a moment to b breathe.
Find a sunny spot.
Close your eyes.

And channel your inner Zuri Renee. 😌

Zuri Renee has recently discovered the ancient Bulldog art of sunbathing, and she is clearly a natural. She doesn’t stay out for long because she’s a Bulldog. But she enjoys a little sunshine, a little peace and a few quiet moments of doing absolutely nothing.

We think she may be onto something.

Life is busy. The week is going to be crazy. There will be things to do and places to be.

But sometimes you just need to find a sunny patch, close your eyes and remember that everything doesn’t have to happen right this second.

Namaste. 🧘‍♀️

8/16/26 UPDATE ~ Foster girl Zuri Renee wants to remind you there are only 62 DAYS until our 2026 Bull-O-Ween!

If Zuri Renee could make a wish for her first Bull-O-Ween, we’re pretty sure it would be for lots of treats, plenty of attention and a whole bunch of Bulldog friends!

Zuri Renee is doing wonderfully in her foster home. Her foster momma says this healthy young girl is gentle, sweet and playful… and clearly ready to show off her adorable self there, if she’s still around that long.

As we count down to our 20th annual event on October 17, we’re looking for more amazing businesses to join us as vendors and sponsors. Your support helps make events like this possible and, most importantly, helps us continue caring for Bulldogs like Zuri Renee.
