Amos Lee

Amos Lee

Amos Lee has hit the jackpot! He’s been adopted by a lovely couple who have Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue alumna, Chole. Amos will want for nothing and get to play with several fur siblings.
Well, hello 2021! It’s me, Amos Lee, and for the life of me, I don’t know where my family is… I was picked up as a stray before Christmas, but no one came looking for me at the shelter. Thankfully, a friendly face from rescue came to save me!
I must have caught a cold because my nose keeps running and the lady keeps wiping it. Before she turns around, it’s running again so pardon my photos.
I read on my shelter intake card that I am high heartworm positive. And above my tail, I have some knots growing. And I still need to be neutered. My goodness… I sound like a train wreck! The shelter called me a senior Bulldog. Maybe I am, but I still have all my teeth. They don’t look all that good, but I still have them.
I haven’t been eating that much, but that’s probably because I don’t feel so hot. I’ll head to the vet clinic on Monday to tell Dr. Larsen everything that is ailing me and find out what she can do to make me feel better.
So, senior Bulldog lovers, watch for me, Amos Lee, as I start my journey through rescue!
1/5/21 Update:  Amos Lee also tested positive for heart worms and will have to undergo treatment.
2/24/21 Update:  Amos Lee just moved into his foster home and is currently on crate rest for heartworm treatment. We can already tell he’s a sweet guy who loves humans. He even helps his foster mom work by lying under her desk. Stay tuned for updates on this special guy.
3/2/21 Update:  Amos is doing great in his foster home. He’s getting along with all other dogs, and he loves giving kisses. He will be on crate rest until March 8, and after, that he’ll be ready for adoption. Will you be the lucky family who gets to adopt him?
3/8/21 Update:  Amos is counting down the days until he’s off crate rest for heartworm treatment. Monday is his last day!
3/15/21 Update:  Amos is excited to announce he is off of crate rest for heartworm treatment! This sweet boy plans to see everyone Sunday at Campisi’s in Rockwall for our Pizza Paw-ty.
3/22/21 Update:  Amos had so much fun at Campisi’s yesterday for the Pizza Paw-ty. He said it was the best day of his life so far! The only thing that would top this day would be if he was adopted by his furever family.
3/30/21 Update:  Amos is such a sweet guy! He’s learning to snuggle with us, which means that he was never snuggled before he came to rescue. Hard to believe an 8-year-old was never loved-on, but he’s really enjoying his snuggles now!
4/13/21 Update:  Amos wanted to show everyone his unique coloring. His brindle has tiger stripes! But no need to fear, this sweet boy is just a teddy bear, who paws at people for pets.
4/20/21 Update:  I caught Amos doing his yoga this week. I was even able to catch his Zoolander “Blue Steel” over-the-shoulder look.
