Betsy Ross
8/3/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From Betsy Ross: In my little world, I always believed there had to be someone out there who would treat me like the queen I knew I was. When Karen came to foster me, I felt something new fluttering in my tiny chest—but I wasn’t quite sure what it meant.
She took me to the nice vet, gave me delicious food, a warm bed, and the best snuggles ever. Life was good—but something was still missing. There was a little space in my heart that hadn’t quite filled in.
Then one day, Foster Mom said, “Betsy, today is the big day!”
My tail gave a wiggle, my toosh did a little wag, and I could feel the excitement in the air! I already had so many good things… what more could possibly be waiting?
Then they walked in.
Chris and Robyn.
My ears perked. My eyes lit up. My tail did a full-on shimmy. And when I felt the warmth of their arms around me… that empty space in my chest? It filled right up. Something in me just clicked.
I knew right then:
These are my people.
This is the feeling I want forever.
So into the car we went! Dad said, “We’ve got an overnight stop, then we’ll be home.”
That’s the best word I’ve ever heard.
Now, I’m the queen of the couch, the apple of Dad’s eye, and the center of Mommy’s world. She calls it “Betsy’s World,” and honestly? I approve.
There’s even talk of a new brother joining us soon—once they find the right one. And let me tell you, when I hear that news? Full-on zoomies. Mommy and I scroll the Facebook page together, watching and waiting for the moment we spot him. The lucky boy who gets to come live in my home.
Tata for now!
Love,
Queen Betsy Ross

7/4/25 INTRODUCTION: Welcome Betsy Ross to our rescue family! This 28-pound sweetheart has a big personality and an even bigger fan club at the local shelter where we saved her. Betsy Ross arrived hoping her family would come for her, but no one ever showed up. Thankfully, she quickly won over the hearts of the shelter staff, who often carried her like royalty to wherever she wanted to go.
It’s not that Betsy Ross can’t walk—she can trot and run just fine—but the concept of a leash seemed completely foreign to her. While she zigged, her handlers zagged, making walks a bit of a comical adventure.
Physically, Betsy Ross shows signs of her past: some urine staining on her fur and a visible hernia along her midline. But don’t worry—her hernia will be taken care of during her upcoming spay. At an estimated 2 years old, Betsy Ross is ready for a fresh start, a loving home, and a life where she’s never left behind again.
