I let you know what a wonderful week I had. The great news is that I have a forever family!
I have a mom, dad, brother and sister and they are as excited about me as I am about them.
I hated to say goodbye to my foster dad and mom, and foster grandparents. They taught me manners and how to say please and thank you.
I want to thank Lone Star Bulldog Rescue for giving me a chance to have a wonderful new life. Please think of that when someone asks you if you have room for just one more foster dog. I don’t know what I would’ve done or what would’ve happened to me had it not been for rescue. Thanks again for your help!
My Foster Dad said I should introduce myself to you all. I am learning the ropes around here and trying to do the right thing. For me, that is sleeping, eating, and playing! I love playing! You see, I am a youngster ~ about 5 months old ~ and I’m just learning how fun everything and everyone can be.
I’m in rescue because my first owner bought me without asking permission from his roommates and landlord. Then the breeder would not take me back, so he decided to try to sell me online.
A wonderful fairy godmother saw what was happening and purchased me (so I would not fall in the wrong hands) and then gave me to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. How about that? Maybe my name should be Lucky.
Anyway, I have been told that I need to meet the great folks from Bright Star Vet Clinic and let them see how handsome I am. I already know I am. Everyone tells me that now.
I can jump, play and run like the wind. I love to wrestle with my fur buddies, and play with my skin sister. Life is good right now for a lucky little boy like me. Stay tuned for more adventures of Bo Jackson.
5/2/23 Update: I went to meet the famous Dr. Larsen this past week, and she fell in love. With me, of course! I got my puppy shots and lots and lots of hugs from her.
Everyone in the vet clinic said, “Oh, how cute! How friendly!” Of course, I am. I am still a little young, but we made an appointment in a weeks so I can “lose that loving feeling.” Why would I not like to love everyone? Not so sure about that.
I am a bouncy baby boy, or so I am told, around the house. I love to play with others, humans, puppies, big dogs, old dogs… just anyone.
I also love to cuddle and my foster grandmother said I’m a wonderful car rider. I had a chew toy and chewed and napped on my way to and from the vet clinic.
I also made my debut at the Pizza Paw-ty last week and boy, was it fun. I was a greeter to everyone. I wanted to make sure that they had a good time and found a new friend in me.
5/12/23 Update: Wow, what a week! Foster Grandma asked me if I wanted to go for a ride. And of course I did.
We went to see Dr. Larsen and the funniest thing happened to me. I felt so sleepy and I took a nap.
While I was going to sleep, I heard someone say about me losing that loving feeling. Now, of course, I won’t…. I love everyone.
Then I woke up and looked in the mirror and…. oh my goodness, what was I wearing? I am not a fashionista by any means, but this look is certainly not for me. It gets in my way of having fun and loving everyone.
Foster Grandma even called me “cone head” when I bumped into her legs. She said that everything would be all right soon. I sure hope so.
While I get to feeling a little better, I am going to look through our approved applications to see which family will fit my needs the most.
I am a fun loving, young, bouncy puppy. I’m probably not the best fit at the moment for a toddler household because I am a baby also, but I am the sweetest guy around, or so I have been told.
I will send a better photo of me when I get this darn thing off my neck!
