Bo Waylon

Bo Waylon

Bo Waylon packed his bags, kissed his foster mom goodbye, and hit the road last Saturday to start his next big adventure—with his new pawrents and a furry brother by his side.

Life hasn’t always been easy, and things took some difficult turns. My dad loved me a lot, but he was struggling to take care of me.

He realized I wasn’t getting the attention, time, or veterinary care that I needed. My eyes are in pretty bad shape, my ears are infected, and I still need to be neutered.

Saying goodbye was really hard. It’s tough to leave someone who loves you, and it’s even harder when you love them back.

We both wished things hadn’t gotten so difficult, but we knew it was time for me to find a family who could care for me, while my dad worked on getting back on his feet and taking care of himself.

Now, I’m with Dr. Larsen, and she says I’m “quite the looker!” She even winked at me, and I crawled right up into her lap. We’ve become fast friends! Dr. Larsen told me she knows Santa, and she plans to tell him all about me. She believes that by Christmas, I could have a family of my own. How exciting is that?

1/17/25 Update:  Bo Waylon has been an absolute delight! He is completely potty and crate trained, and he’s a perfect gentleman with impeccable manners. Bo Waylon knows how to sit on command and is always well-behaved.

Bo Waylon will be returning to Bright Star Veterinary Clinic on Jan. 28 for his heartworm treatment. He gets along wonderfully with the other three resident Bulldogs, though his favorite is the youngest one, who is 3 years old. He loves playing with all the toys and is the cutest little guy you’ll ever meet!

2/7/25 Update:  Bo Waylon is making himself at home here. He’s become a regular couch potato, and he loves kids and other dogs. He’s patiently waiting for his heartworm treatment. After that, he can find the home he deserves with a lifetime of fun and love.

3/7/25 Update:  Bo Waylon is settling in nicely and getting the hang of his foster home routine. He’s halfway through his “slow kill” heartworm treatment and is doing great! He’s also fully potty trained and crate trained—two big wins!
