Chamomile Tia

Chamomile Tia

Chamomile Tia  and Logan found their perfect furever family.

Last week, Foster Mom and Foster Dad took Cammy and Logan to visit a super nice couple, who we met at the last Bulldog Bonanza. This nice family has two cats, and we needed to make sure Logan and Cammy would be OK sharing their home and parents’ love with them. That visit went really well.

They have a huge yard and Logan felt right at home, almost immediately. He ventured out to explore and check out all the trees!

When we returned home that evening,  we got the message that this special family wanted to grow by two. They officially announced they wanted Logan and Cammy to come live with them.

On Wednesday, we packed up and headed to a park so they could meet their new family.

Logan and Cammy were both excited to see their new mom and dad. They brought the kids beautiful new harnesses and lots of yummy treats.

As Chamomile Tia’s foster parents, we were so very blessed to watch a very fearful baby emerge and blossom.   When Foster Dad picked her up, she would not even stand up. She literally army crawled on her tummy every where she went. She quickly learned to use the doggy door, never had accidents in the home and loved like no other dog we have ever seen.

We love all of them, but I would be lying if I said there wasn’t something special about her.

We are so excited that this very special family took in both Cammy and Logan. Cammy is still learning how to be a dog and is not always sure of how to react.   That’s why calm-and-chill Logan couldn’t be a more perfect companion for Cammy to follow around.

Congratulations to them both and their new perfect furever family! They will definitely be living their best life with so much love and lots of spoiling.

My foster dad picked me up today. I was so scared. Instead of walking, I did more of an army crawl.

I’m very timid, but my foster mom can already see that I’m also very curious. Everything is so new! I had a bath and they told me that I did really well and was a good girl.

My name is Chamomile Tia. I will be called Cammy for short. My name is about hoping wishes and dreams are fulfilled. My foster mom assured me that is exactly what my future holds. My wishes and dreams for a furever loving family will come true.

I’m 2 years old, with unique eyes and a very petite body. My foster mom was talking about some yummy food that is coming my way. She mentioned I needed a cheeseburger or two…. I think she was joking, but it does sound delicious.

Stay tuned and watch me blossom.

1/24/23 Update:  Chamomile Tia is settling into her foster home very well. She came to us so frightened that she did an army crawl every where she went, instead of walking.  We knew she was curious though, and each day she is gaining more confidence and explores more and more.

She loves to go in and out of the doggy door. She’s learning to do her business on the other side of the door instead of inside. She loves to be praised and loved, and she gets lots of those when she does the right things.

She is very puppy-like and has lots of playful energy. She already enjoys playing with the other dogs. She gets along with all of them. She has not figured out toys yet, but I’m sure she will before long. We love giving her cuddles and she can’t get enough of them.

After naps and anytime she gets out of the kennel, she runs to the kitchen to look for nibbles of food, like she hasn’t eaten in days. We let her know that she will never be hungry again, and will always have her meals.

We learned that she’s afraid of kids, both little ones and big ones. She will back into a corner and bark. We have started working on this with the teenager, and are very hopeful we can teach her that they are nothing to be afraid of, and instead, can be fun to play with.

Stay tuned to see our progress. She is looking forward to seeing Dr. Larsen as soon as she can. Dr Larsen is going to fall in love with her beautiful green eyes.

2/7/23 Update:  I have made progress by leaps and bounds in my foster home. I do great, as long as I am with my foster mom or foster dad all day. If they leave me for a bit, I forget that I know them and how much they love me. I do remember pretty quickly and come back out of my shell.

I convinced my foster mom that I prefer the smaller kennel and I want it to be on her side of the bed so that I can see her throughout the night. I am so loving and love to be loved.

I have discovered toys and love to play. I also enjoy playing with all of the other furry friends here, including my two foster brothers and the resident brother and sister. I even get the white one who they call “Cranky Beans” to play.

I have mastered going outside through the doggy door. I haven’t even had any accidents or “on purposes” this week!

I am still terrified of little kids. I am learning to trust the resident teenager, but I’m still not 100% sure of him.

Hopefully, I will be going to see Dr. Larsen soon. I hear all the Bulldogs say she has a great lap for sitting. I know she will think I am absolutely adorable… because my foster mom tells me this all the time.

As soon as I get my baby-making parts taken care of, I will be ready to look through the approved applications and pick my furever family. If you love lots of love and don’t have kids, you might be my perfect match! Happy full of love month.

2/14/23 Update:  Cammy is becoming braver each day. She still gets a little nervous with loud noises and big dog barks, but she’s not running off and hiding as much as she did in the beginning.

She loves to play with toys and all the other dogs. She has enough energy that she wears each of them out, one at a time.

She gives the best lovins’, which makes sense. She has two years of love she needs to catch up on. It is hard to get pictures or video because the second she sees me pick up my phone, she is running toward me!

She goes to see Dr Larsen tomorrow and soon she’ll be looking through the approved applications to find her perfect match.

2/21/23 Update:  Chamomile Tia got to see Dr. Larsen this week. This was the first time she’s been around any adults, other than us, since coming into rescue. She did great and everyone thinks she is the sweetest lil’ girl.  She was very timid and preferred to hide in the corner or in between my feet. She has learned to take treats, and she loved Dr. Larsen for all the yummy treats that day.

Surgery will be coming up soon! In the meantime she’s going to continue to hang out,  play with the other dogs and give lots of love and cuddles.

3/25/23 Update:   Cammy is doing great in her foster home. She continues to come out of her shell more and more each week.

She recently stayed with some very nice people who have a Boxer who she loved to play with. Finally, a dog who can match her energy! She loves to play and will wear out all the dogs in her foster home and still be ready to play some more.

She’s doing great on her leash when going for a walk. She still needs some work, but we know she will get there.

She’s still scared of new people, especially little kids. We have been working on this. She seems to get a little bit comfortable and then forgets her progress the next time the guests come over.

She loves to cuddle, play, meal time, treats and prefers to sleep in the bed instead of in her kennel. She does go into her kennel when we tell her it’s bedtime. She uses the dog door like a champ and loves to run in and out.

Most of the photos we have of her feature her sleeping…. that’s because she’s always on the move so much! It’s hard to get one that’s not blurry. If she’s standing still and sees you with the camera, she runs to you as fast as she can. We’ll try to get some action photos!

She’ll see Dr. Larsen next week, so she’ll never have to have babies again. She also has a hernia that needs to be repaired. After that, she will be looking through the approved applications for her perfect home!

4/4/23 Update:  Happy spring, everyone. I hope you are all enjoying these nice days as much as I am.

I had my surgery last week so that I will never have to have more babies. They were precious and I loved them, but they are a lot of work. I still tune into the TV when I hear puppies on that big screen. It reminds me of my old days, but I know much better days are ahead for me!

I’ve started going through the approved applications to find the absolute best furever family. My home will not have kids as I am very afraid of them. The little ones, the big ones all of them. My foster mom and dad are going to set something up where I can maybe meet some kids outside of our house. They think that I might just be very protective of them. I’ll let you know how that goes soon!

I would like a fur sibling in my forever home. I like to look to my furry friends to know how to act in a lot of situations. I am still learning so much because the first two years of my life were lived in a cage.

We found out that I am terrified of sneezes. Foster Mom had an allergy attack and I moved farther and farther away from her with each sneeze, until I found my safe spot in another room. I hope she doesn’t do that anymore!

Stay cool and I hope to meet you soon.

5/2/23 Update:  Cammy is doing great. It’s been a while since you’ve seen an update. She was healing from surgery and we’ve been taking her out on outings.

She’s still somewhat timid around people and terrified of kids, but on a positive note, she has let some strangers pet her.

She’s doing so much better on a leash.   When she sees her foster mom or dad get the harness out, she goes crazy with excitement.

She plays well with all the other dogs and is starting to learn how to play with the toys, too.

There’s really no way to explain how much she loves. She loves to give hugs, kisses and sit in your lap all the time!

If you want a sweetheart who adores and loves you like no other, Cammy is your girl!

She’s such a sweetheart.
