6/2/25 ~ AWESOME ADOPTION UPDATE! It was the day sweet Chloe Lovelady had been waiting for—the day she found her family. And let us tell you… she hit the jackpot! Jon and Korinna are no strangers to rescue. Years ago, they were deeply involved—fostering and adopting Bulldogs and giving so many pups a second chance. Then life brought them a new blessing: twin daughters, Estelle and Carmen. As the girls grew, so did the family’s dream of welcoming another Bulldog into their lives. Now that Estelle and Carmen are older, the timing was just right—and Chloe Lovelady was just perfect. Chloe Lovelady is the kind of Bulldog dreams are made of: sweet, gentle, endlessly loving and beautiful inside and out. She’s never met a stranger, adores everyone she meets, and brings joy wherever she goes. When it came time to head home, Chloe Lovelady knew. She wiggled from head to tail with excitement, climbed into the car with her new family, and never looked back. Here’s to fresh starts, full hearts and happy families.

Another day in rescue. Another heartbreaking case of Bulldogs dumped like trash.
These two — now named Chloe Lovelady (brown) and Bing Blue Eye (merle) — were found abandoned in the countryside, miles from anywhere. Alone. Starving. Wandering. If starvation didn’t kill them, a predator surely would have.
A kind man opened his back door to find them collapsed on his porch. He called his sister, a passionate advocate for rescue dogs — she called us, and we called David, our incredible transport angel from San Antonio. David and his wife didn’t hesitate. They hit the road that same day.
Bing Blue Eye is in critical condition. He’s bleeding steadily from his anus due to a severe colon impaction — likely from eating a dead animal out of desperation. He’s high heartworm positive, weak, and barely able to stand. He’s on IV fluids and has had a sedated enema, and he’s in no condition for surgery. Right now, all we can do is support him and hope for a breakthrough.
Chloe Lovelady is in better shape. She’s not pregnant, though her belly is distended from a heavy worm load. Both were covered in ticks. Despite it all, Chloe Lovelady ate her food this morning and was walking around when I visited.
As for Bing Blue Eye… he looked up at me, then looked away. It’s as if he’s already given up.
Thank you to Lana, David, and his amazing wife for dropping everything to help save these two.
Please keep Bing Blue Eye in your thoughts — he needs a miracle, your prayers, and every ounce of hope you’ve got.
