Gimli

Gimli

Gimli checked out of rescue and into his next home!

Alan and Lisa pretty much fell in love with this handsome fella at first sight, as did his new skin brother and sister! The whole family was very excited to meet and welcome Gimli into their family.

Gimli will get plenty of exercise keeping up with his new siblings. I think he will be most excited with all the snacks that might fall on the ground!

From living on the streets to finding his furever family, this is a true rescue success story. Foster Mom wishes you the best life, Gimli.

I apparently was looking for an adventure, so I hit the road and found myself getting further and further away from home.

It was alright, until it started getting hot! Before I knew it, I felt like I was on fire. I didn’t even know I could sweat the way I was sweating. Not to mention the storms! The wind was tossing me around. I mean, I am only about 40 pounds.

I was burning up and decided I need to find shelter. As I sat in the shelter, I realized the only thing I got from my adventure was some fleas, ticks and irritated skin!

I also realized adventures are for hobbits, not Bulldogs! I am going to relax and get some much needed rest before I go see Dr. Larsen.

6/7/24 Update:  First the bad news: Poor foster boy Gimli has kennel cough and had a rough weekend full of breathing treatments and antibiotics.

Now the good news: He’s starting to feel much better!

Thank you to his foster momma for being the best nurse.

6/21/24 Update:  Gimli is resting and soaking in some sunshine before it gets too hot! Gimli has recovered from kennel cough and is getting his little “snip snip” tomorrow. As long as he is healthy, he should be ready for adoption soon!

Gimli is a super sweet and chill dude! He is also very submissive. I can start to see a little spunk but it is in very short bursts! He is recovering from his neuter and every day he is feeling better.

7/5/24 Update: Gimli is ready for a family!

He had his eye checked Friday and he has microphthalmia, which is basically a small eye. He also damaged it, possibly while living on the streets. His body tried to heal it the best that it could.

He’s been on eye antibiotics since entering rescue and it looks so much better.

He does have limited vision, but you can’t tell and since it has healed, there is no reason to remove it. It is possible that he may have to have it removed in the future. So, we just need to keep an eye on it…..
