Marsha Lemondrop

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! What a sweet and wonderful little foster girl.

We took her to our Pizza Paw-ty at Campisi’s and there she met her forever mom. It was love at both sight for both of them! So much so, that her mom, who had just moved to Tennessee, drove all the way back to adopt her. She had been approved while she lived in Texas, but had to relocate to Tennessee. When she saw Marsha, she knew she was worth the drive.

They are definitely going to live happily ever after!

Unfortunately, I got lost and no one came looking for me.   I ended up at a local shelter and after being there for several weeks, I started calling that place home.

Shelter life was great and I made a lot of friends. I got to sit behind the counter and when people came in, I greeted them.

I kept looking at the door, wondering if my family would walk in, but after about a month, I decided no one was coming and the shelter would become my home.

I didn’t need a leash in the shelter ~ I would just happily trot alongside anyone going anywhere.

I found the employee breakroom and I soon realized that when the microwave beeped, it was my signal to join someone for lunch. Some days it was Hot Pockets, other days it was it was roast and carrots and on Tuesday, it was tacos. Sunday was my favorite day because my lady friend brought peanut butter cookies!

I was a bit upset when my lady friend told me I was leaving for rescue. But I understood. I had started coughing a little and she said I had kennel cough. I had it once before and I got it again. Coughing was annoying for sure, so leaving the shelter was in my best interest.

There was a party the day I left. I got to keep my “volunteer” badge, and everyone sang, “You are my sunshine.”

I am having a little surgery on Friday and then I’ll move on to a foster home where they need a taste tester. But you know what? I’m not letting go of Taco Tuesdays. That remains one of my favorite days of the week!
