When Walt and Katherine saw Sunny Rose come into rescue, they knew she would be a perfect addition to their family. They are long-time supporters and former adopters with Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue.
It was love at first sight and Sunny Rose couldn’t wait to give kisses to her new dad! She sat in his lap the whole way home.
She was greeted by her new fur brother, Bear, and sister Lulu (formally Luca), who was quick to give her the home tour. Sunny Rose is a happy flower!
You may recognize me~ I was a social media sensation lately. That’s right, I have been posted here, there and everywhere, hoping the family who lost me would find me.
But, after weeks of waiting, my friends at the shelter told me it was time I moved on and make some other family’s dream come true.
I named myself Sunny Rose because I love everything, especially hugs and kisses.
Before you ask, I will tell you I am super small. I weigh 20 lbs. I am happy with that. No sense wishing I was bigger. I am as big as I am ever going to be. I am backpack-size or if you have one of those baby swaddling things, I would so love that! After all, at 20 lbs., carrying me would be a piece of cake.
My friends at the shelter spayed me, gave me all my vaccinations and even microchipped me. Now, if I ever get lost again, someone will be able to scan me so I can get back home.
I was pretty upset at first that my family didn’t come looking for me. But after I accepted no one was coming, I made myself at home in the shelter office and the shelter boss and I became best friends. I helped her watch the monitors to make sure everyone was behaving. We did find some questionable things~ like when someone started breaking treats in half, but that was addressed quickly.
My friends at the shelter think I’m about 2 years old. That sounds about right, but I’m not going through those so-called “terrible 2s.” I am not going through the terrific 2s.
