I have the best news ever… I FOUND MY FUREVER HOME!
I was looking through the approved applications and came across a family who looked perfect for me. I gave them a call to see if we might be a good fit. They were so excited to hear from me, they agreed to a six hour drive just to see me.
When they got here, I was immediately showered with attention and kisses and I got to meet my new fur sister, Minnie. She’s a bit older and was a little tired from the drive, but we got along.
I found out I have two skin sisters and a skin brother, who was playing a championship baseball game and couldn’t make the trip. They won the championship and I was the prize.
I am so excited to be in my furever home with such a wonderful family. Thank you, Foster Mom and Dad, for giving me this opportunity and showing me love. Thank you to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue for taking me in and a special thanks to Doc Larsen and her staff for making sure I was healthy. You all ROCK!
Hi everyone, my name is Ted E. Bulldog. I have never had a name before so I picked this one. Foster mom and dad said I looked like a little Teddy Bear so there you have it.
Like my friend Miranda, I saw the rescue wagon and knew I had to be on board. Fortunately I didn’t need a ticket and they just let me on.
My past is a little fuzzy and I’m not really looking back, I’m looking ahead to when I can finally have a forever family. Foster mom and dad said I needed to learn some manners and proper potty procedures…whatever that is.
They also said a visit to Dr. Larsen was in my future to get fixed. Didn’t know I was broken but whatever.
I’m a social little guy, about 2 years old and I love attention. I’m not sure how I will do with other dogs since I am decompressing right now and getting used to my new surroundings.
Stay tuned for more updates on my new life.
1/24/23 Update: Just wanted to give everyone an update on how I’m doing in my foster home. I have learned to start going outside to do my business. Athough, I sometimes have an accident in the house.
Foster Mom and Dad say I need to calm down a little because I get so excited when I am around people. They also said I need to slow down on my eating and drinking water. I have to learn that there will be food and water available and not to gorge myself. When I do that, I get sick.
I really enjoy going outside – playing, running and having fun with my cohort, foster girl Miranda Lambert. Foster Mom and Dad are slowly introducing me to the other resident dogs just to make sure I am not overwhelmed.
Well, that’s it for now, but stay tuned and get your applications in. I’ll be looking for my perfectly matched family soon.
3/17/23 Update: I know, I know. I haven’t been checking in much lately, but I’ve been learning the ropes here in my foster home.
Foster Mom says I have the cutest face and I know how to use it to get what I want. Last week, I went to see Dr. Larsen and took care of some things so I won’t be getting any “loving feelings.”
Right now, I weigh about 40 lbs. and she said I need to put on about 10 lbs. to help me fill out.
Here’s what I’ve learned while in my foster home…
*I learned to go outside to do my business and that I don’t need to guzzle all the water and food in the bowl. I get fed on a regular schedule and get to eat a lot. Foster Dad has me on a schedule of potty time first, then we eat, then we potty again.
*I learned what treats are and I love treats. YUMMY!
*I learned how fun it is to play! I get along with all the resident dogs and love to play, especially with my foster sister Miranda.
*I also learned what toys are… I love to chase my tennis ball and chew on my big chew toy.
I’m a very gentle boy. I don’t bite or play rough. Foster Dad said it is hard getting good pictures of me because I always want to be right beside him or between his ankles.
Well, that’s about all for now. I need to browse through the approved applications to search for my forever home. If you haven’t put in an application yet, you better hurry. I may get matched soon!
OH! And I love car rides.
