Becky Jane

7/15/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Becky Jane to our rescue family!

At about 1 year old and 32 pounds, Becky Jane couldn’t understand how she ended up in a shelter, with no one coming to claim her. Surely someone out there loved and missed her… or so she thought.

But as the days passed during her stray hold, doubt crept in — maybe she’d been forgotten after all.

She wasn’t feeling her best — dealing with an upset tummy and not quite herself — but deep down, she knew that with the right care, good food, and a little love, she’d bounce back. And she was right. We were able to save her and she rolled out of the shelter on July 3.

Fast forward to today: Becky Jane has been spayed, had her cherry eye repaired and is feeling (and smelling!) fabulous after a few much-needed baths. 🌹

Now all this sweet girl needs is a family who will cherish her, keep her safe and make sure she’s never lost or alone again.

9/6/25 URGENT UPDATE: Becky Jane needs a special foster or adopter. 💔
📍 Foster needed in Dallas/Fort Worth
✈️ Adopter welcome from anywhere (nationwide)

Sweet Becky Jane has been through more than most dogs her age.

At just about a year old and 32 pounds, she found herself alone in a shelter: confused, sick and waiting by the door, convinced someone was coming to take her home. But no one came. As the days passed, hope slowly gave way to heartbreak.

We were able to rescue her on July 3, and she left the shelter behind for good. Since then, she’s been spayed, had her cherry eye repaired and has had all the baths she needed to feel (and smell!) like a brand new girl. 🌹

But there’s one thing we haven’t been able to give her yet: a home.

Becky Jane has special medical needs.
On her good days, she leaks urine only slightly. On hard days, she leaks all day long. She is fully fecal incontinent, and likely a lifelong diaper dog. She doesn’t show the classic signs of spina bifida, but we are running further tests, including Addison’s disease screening this week, before she is cleared to leave the vet’s office.

Right now, she’s in a kennel environment, and the amazing vet techs are doing their best… but it’s getting overwhelming. The constant cleanup is exhausting and this isn’t the life she deserves.

Despite everything, Becky Jane is still the same hopeful, loving little soul she was on that shelter floor. She’s not giving up. And neither are we. But we need help.

What Becky Jane needs:

*A foster home in the DFW area, or
*An experienced special-needs adopter (nationwide)
*Someone patient, kind, and understanding of incontinence care
*A soft place to land, and a heart big enough to see past the mess and into the magic

If you’ve ever wondered how you could make a real difference… this is it.  Becky Jane has already been forgotten once. Please help us make sure it never happens again.  ♥

11/5/25 UDPATE ~ Special girl Becky Jane needs a special family!💕

Becky Jane is full of attitude and spunk. She definitely doesn’t let anything slow her down! Though she’s completely incontinent, she wears her diapers proudly and zooms all around her foster home like she owns the place.

This brave little girl will soon be getting her eye fixed (again) and we know she’ll take that in stride just like everything else. Becky Jane truly doesn’t know she’s any different, and we love that about her!

We do have a special request: because Becky Jane goes through lots of diapers, we’ve added her favorites to our Amazon and Chewy wish lists. You can find those at dfwbulldogrescue.org/donate if you’d like to help keep this spirited girl stocked up.

We’re also learning that not every dog wants to play all the time, and that’s OK! Becky reminds us that every pup is unique and perfect just the way they are. 🐾

5/6/26 UDPATE ~ Becky Jane has been waiting since July 2025.

She made it out of a local shelter and into rescue, and we truly believed her happily ever after was just around the corner. But month after month has passed… and she’s still waiting.

The reason? Becky Jane is what we lovingly call a “diaper baby.” She has incontinence, and for many people, that’s enough to scroll past her without a second thought.

But here’s what they’re missing…

Becky Jane is full of life. Her foster mom says she was completely feeling herself this morning: happy, confident and soaking up every moment. She’s a sweet girl who does well with submissive dogs, but more than anything, she just wants her person. Her safe place. Her home.

And if you happen to have a bone? You’ll instantly become her favorite human on the planet.

Yes, she may need a little extra care. A little extra patience. But dogs like Becky Jane don’t know they’re “different.” They just know they want to love and be loved.

She has been overlooked for so long. Not because she isn’t worthy… but because the right person hasn’t found her yet.

Could that be you?

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a truly special girl, please apply. And if you can’t adopt, you can still change Becky Jane’s story. Please share her photos and help us find the person who will finally say “yes” to her.

She’s waited long enough for her happily ever after.

5/23/26 UPDATE ~ Some dogs survive.

Becky Jane is learning how to LIVE. ❤️

Every day, her foster mom watches this little girl embrace life with so much joy. Becky Jane is spunky, playful and completely loves getting to just be a dog. A comfy couch, a tasty bone, a little attention from her humans? In her mind, life is pretty wonderful.

And honestly… watching her confidence bloom has been beautiful.

Becky Jane may be incontinent and wear diapers, but she doesn’t let that define her for one second. She wakes up happy. She loves hard. She enjoys the simple things. She’s proof that dogs don’t sit around focusing on what’s “wrong” with them. They just want love, comfort and a family to call their own.

She does well with submissive dogs, but people are truly her favorite thing. Give her affection and a snack, and she’ll be your loyal sidekick for life.

The hardest part is knowing this sweet girl keeps getting overlooked because she needs a little extra care. Meanwhile, the people passing her by are missing out on a dog with so much personality, resilience and love to give.

Somewhere out there is a person who won’t see Becky Jane as “too much work.” They’ll see her exactly the way we do: Absolutely worth it.

If you think Becky Jane could be the missing piece in your home, please apply. In the meantime, Becky Jane will keep playing with her favorite pickle toy!
