6/7/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Legacy to our rescue family.
At 50 pounds of Bulldog perfection, they simply don’t get much cuter than Legacy. This beautiful 5-year-old joined rescue today through absolutely no fault of her own.
Sometimes life throws unexpected curveballs, and in Legacy’s case, it came in the form of a third-floor apartment. While her dad was preparing for a move, it became clear that neither of them had envisioned a daily routine involving multiple trips up and down several flights of stairs. Legacy wasn’t interested in becoming a stair-climbing enthusiast, and her dad knew carrying 50 pounds of Bulldog throughout the day wasn’t a long-term solution.
So, with love and her best interests at heart, Legacy packed up her bed, her toys and her belongings and made her way to rescue.
Legacy comes with an impressive resume. She’s enjoyed trips to the dog park and has gotten along well with other dogs. She previously lived with two cats and was happy to share her home with them as well.
Legacy has also raised two litters of puppies during her lifetime. By all accounts, she was a devoted and loving mother who adored her babies. Soon, those puppy-raising days will be behind her forever, and it will finally be Legacy’s turn to be pampered.
Now she’s looking for a family that will give her the life she deserves… a life filled with comfort, love and plenty of opportunities to embrace her true calling: being treated like the queen she was born to be.
Welcome to rescue, Legacy. We can’t wait to watch your next chapter unfold.

We need more foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to help dogs like Legacy on their journey to their next home.
Could you offer a spare couch, a little patience and a lot of love? Fostering is temporary, but the impact lasts a lifetime. Message us to learn more about becoming a foster parent.
Not able to foster right now but still want to help? You can support our mission by making a donation at dfwbulldogrescue.org/donate or shopping through this month’s Scentsy fundraiser at furbabyfundraising.scentsy.us. A portion of every purchase goes directly toward helping the dogs in our care. Every foster, donation and purchase makes a difference.
Lone Star Bulldog Club and Bulldog Rescue are in compliance with and support the Texas Health and Safety Code chapter 828 .002; which states EVERY dog rescued under our umbrella, either from a shelter, Rescue Society or private sources, will be spayed or neutered. Bulldogs are typically affectionate and friendly, and the Network will not knowingly place a dog with an unsound temperament. However, no one can predict how any dog will react in a given situation without complete knowledge of its life experiences before its rescue. Therefore, adopters are strongly urged to exercise prudence and caution in introducing an adopted Bulldog into a new situation until the dog has become fully adjusted to its new environment and the adopter has had an opportunity to become familiar with the dog’s unique personality. Lone Star Bulldog Club and Bulldog Rescue Network make no claims, representations, or warranties regarding the temperament, behavior, or future health of any rescued Bulldog.
