3/26/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Cream Puff is in need of hope, healing and a little bit of a miracle.

This sweet girl is just under 2 years old and weighs only 27 pounds. Not long ago, she and another dog were being given away when their owner no longer wanted them. Thankfully, a kind family who had always dreamed of having a Bulldog took both dogs in, giving Cream Puff a second chance.

But on March 15, that second chance took a frightening turn. Cream Puff became critically ill, and when her new family took her to the emergency vet, they learned the cause: pyometra, a serious, life-threatening infection of the uterus.

Last night, she was brought into rescue in heartbreaking condition: weak, underweight, severely anemic, and so sick she could barely lift her head. And yet, 11 days from her initial diagnosis, she is still here… still fighting.

Cream Puff is currently hospitalized, receiving IV fluids and constant care. She underwent emergency surgery to save her life. Her previous family reached out to us for help so she could get the care she deserves.

3/29/26 UPDATE ~ Cream Puff is a sweet Bulldog just under 2 years old who came to us in heartbreaking condition after developing pyometra, a life-threatening infection. She was rushed into emergency surgery and has been hospitalized ever since, fighting for her life.

Today, we’re cautiously hopeful as she continues that fight.

Over the past couple of days, Cream Puff has started to show small but meaningful signs of improvement. She’s a little brighter, a little stronger… and she’s even begun eating small amounts on her own. After everything her tiny body has been through, these feel like big wins.

She is still very sick and not out of the woods yet. She remains hospitalized, receiving ongoing care and close monitoring, but we are so encouraged to see her slowly starting to turn a corner.

We also want to take a moment to say thank you. Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to give Cream Puff the lifesaving care she desperately needed. Your donations, prayers and kind messages mean more than we can express.

3/31/26 UPDATE ~ Our sweet girl is still in the hospital, but we’re starting to see some encouraging signs. She’s feeling just a little bit better. And we know that because she’s found her voice. Yes… Cream Puff is starting to bark.

It may seem like a small thing, but for a pup who has been so sick, it’s a big step in the right direction. She’s still receiving the care she needs and has a journey ahead, but we’re so hopeful as we watch her continue to fight.
