3/26/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Cream Puff is in need of hope, healing and a little bit of a miracle.

This sweet girl is just under 2 years old and weighs only 27 pounds. Not long ago, she and another dog were being given away when their owner no longer wanted them. Thankfully, a kind family who had always dreamed of having a Bulldog took both dogs in, giving Cream Puff a second chance.

But on March 15, that second chance took a frightening turn. Cream Puff became critically ill, and when her new family took her to the emergency vet, they learned the cause: pyometra, a serious, life-threatening infection of the uterus.

Last night, she was brought into rescue in heartbreaking condition: weak, underweight, severely anemic, and so sick she could barely lift her head. And yet, 11 days from her initial diagnosis, she is still here… still fighting.

Cream Puff is currently hospitalized, receiving IV fluids and constant care. She underwent emergency surgery to save her life. Her previous family reached out to us for help so she could get the care she deserves.

3/29/26 UPDATE ~ Cream Puff is a sweet Bulldog just under 2 years old who came to us in heartbreaking condition after developing pyometra, a life-threatening infection. She was rushed into emergency surgery and has been hospitalized ever since, fighting for her life.

Today, we’re cautiously hopeful as she continues that fight.

Over the past couple of days, Cream Puff has started to show small but meaningful signs of improvement. She’s a little brighter, a little stronger… and she’s even begun eating small amounts on her own. After everything her tiny body has been through, these feel like big wins.

She is still very sick and not out of the woods yet. She remains hospitalized, receiving ongoing care and close monitoring, but we are so encouraged to see her slowly starting to turn a corner.

We also want to take a moment to say thank you. Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to give Cream Puff the lifesaving care she desperately needed. Your donations, prayers and kind messages mean more than we can express.

Please continue to keep this brave little girl in your thoughts as she keeps fighting. She’s already overcome so much, and we’re all hoping she continues on this path toward healing.

3/31/26 UPDATE ~ Our sweet girl is still in the hospital, but we’re starting to see some encouraging signs. She’s feeling just a little bit better. And we know that because she’s found her voice. Yes… Cream Puff is starting to bark. 💕

It may seem like a small thing, but for a pup who has been so sick, it’s a big step in the right direction. She’s still receiving the care she needs and has a journey ahead, but we’re so hopeful as we watch her continue to fight.

5/10/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: When Cream Puff first came into rescue, she was critically ill and fighting for her life. There were moments when the road ahead felt uncertain, and seeing her now honestly feels nothing short of a miracle. ❤️

Today, this sweet girl is completely healed and absolutely thriving.

Cream Puff has gained 11 pounds, her sparkle has returned, and her happy little personality shines brighter every single day. The transformation has been incredible to witness.

She is SO loving and full of joy. Cream Puff adores her toys and seems to believe that emptying the toy box is an important daily responsibility. 😂 She rides in the car like an absolute princess and has settled beautifully into foster life, soaking up every bit of love and comfort she can find.

Watching her healthy, playful and carefree after everything she endured is the reminder we all need of why rescue matters so much.

We love this precious girl beyond words, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who prayed, donated, shared her story and cheered her on through recovery.

For those who may not remember Cream Puff’s story, this sweet girl came into rescue in late March in absolutely heartbreaking condition. At not even 2 years old and weighing only 27 pounds, she was critically ill from pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection, and fighting for her life.

When Cream Puff arrived in rescue, she was weak, severely anemic, underweight, and so sick she could barely lift her head. She underwent emergency surgery and remained hospitalized for days receiving around-the-clock care, IV fluids, medications and endless prayers from people who had never even met her.

There were moments of fear and uncertainty, but little by little, Cream Puff began showing us her strength. First she started eating small amounts on her own. Then she got a little brighter. A little sassier. And finally… she found her voice and started barking again. 💕

Today, seeing Cream Puff wrapped in love, comfort and healing feels incredibly emotional. The kindness behind this special blanket means so much, not only to Cream Puff, but to all of us who have been cheering her on through this journey.

Cream Puff’s story is a reminder of what rescue is all about: hope, compassion, second chances and a community of people who rally around dogs when they need it most.
