3/20/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Erin Katherine to our rescue family! From volunteer Dianne: Standing in line with nothing but a tiny bed (kindly given to her by a new friend), Erin Katherine quietly waited, not knowing what came next… only that she would never look back.
She watched as each dog was carefully loaded onto transport, treated gently, like something precious… like they mattered. For the first time in a long time, Erin Katherine was surrounded by hope.
She was headed north alongside other dogs and cats, all escaping lives filled with neglect and hardship.
Erin Katherine once had a family. They named her “Princess.”
But she was never treated like one.
At one point, she tried to escape, searching for something better, but was brought back with promises that things would change. They didn’t. Eventually, her family separated, and Erin Katherine went with the man… until one day, he returned her, saying he could no longer care for her.
And so Erin Katherine waited again… wondering if she would ever find someone who truly would.
Today, Erin Katherine weighs just 21 pounds. Much of her fur is missing. She can barely see due to severe cherry eyes, and she is heartworm positive.
But despite everything she’s endured, Erin Katherine is one of the most precious, gentle Bulldogs you could ever meet. All she wants is love… something she has always deserved.
Erin Katherine’s story isn’t over yet. Her next chapter is waiting… and this time, it will be the one she deserves.
