5/2/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Gail Forcewind to our rescue family! She writes: I bet you’re wondering how I got a name like Gail Forcewind. Well, let me tell you a little about how I ended up in rescue.
I was found wandering around North Texas, and with all those strong winds we’ve been having, it sure felt like I was getting swept from place to place! One minute I’d be exploring, the next.. whoosh! Off I’d go again. It was quite the adventure, but I have to admit, I got pretty tired and a little dizzy along the way.
Eventually, I landed in Arlington, Texas, where a kind lady spotted me roaming the streets. She knew I didn’t belong out there and brought me home, where I got a good meal, a bath, and some much-needed rest. She tried to find my family, but no one came looking… so now I’m safe and settling into rescue life.
I’m about 3–4 years old, weigh around 35 pounds and I’ll be getting all dolled up soon with a little grooming. After that, I’ll be ready to find my new home… a place where I’ll be loved, safe and never caught up in any more gale-force winds again!

5/10/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Gail Forcewind is an absolute sweetheart! At 38 pounds, she’s a healthy, beautiful girl with a calm and gentle nature. She’s submissive and gets along well with everyone she meets, both people and other pups.
Gail Forcewind isn’t a fan of being kenneled or separated from her people, but she’s not overly needy either. She simply likes having the freedom to check in on you and then return to her cozy spot to relax. She’s a laid-back 3-year-old who’s happiest with a comfy bed and a peaceful environment.
She only barks for two reasons: if she’s been closed off from everyone, or if she needs to go potty. At night, she’ll come to the bedroom door and softly bark or whimper to let you know. Once she’s outside, she quickly takes care of business and settles right back down to sleep.
Gail Forcewind would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate and easygoing dog.
She started her vetting this week and did great! She is healthy and is scheduled for her spay and entropion surgery in the middle of June. She will be ready for her next home in no time!
