Lucille Lovelady came from one of the worst places imaginable… a dark shed with no windows. Not a breeding facility. Not a home. Just a small, forgotten space where Lucille Lovelady lived alongside a male Bulldog, hidden away from the world.

The best day of Lucille Lovelady’s life was the day authorities arrived and removed them both. Lucille Lovelady didn’t know where she was going next, only that it had to be better than where she had been.

Lucille Lovelady arrived in rescue transport alongside several other French Bulldogs, all searching for the same thing: a new beginning, a family who will love them forever and proof that not every human will fail them.

Lucille Lovelady is only 3 years old, weighs 42 pounds, and is absolutely perfect just the way she is.

One of Lucille Lovelady’s eyes has no vision, and the vision in the other is uncertain. On Tuesday, Lucille Lovelady will visit the Veterinary Eye Institute, where we are praying specialists may be able to save her remaining sight.

When Lucille Lovelady tilts her head to the side, she listens carefully to your voice. Can Lucille Lovelady see you? Only time will tell. But what we do know is this: Lucille Lovelady is safe now. Lucille Lovelady will be cared for. Lucille Lovelady will know kindness. And one day, Lucille Lovelady will find a family who sees her value exactly as she is.
