12/24/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Journey Sage to our rescue family! She writes: Bulldog friends, it’s Christmas Eve, and tonight marks the start of a gentler, hopeful new beginning for me.
I left the farm with my mama because, even though I’ve got a little extra fluff, I ran faster than she did. I hopped into the rescue wagon before she could, marched myself straight to the passenger seat, and there I stayed.
While waiting, I saw an ad for Spanx and thought, Now that’s exactly what I need. Sadly, I must report that Spanx could not contain this gal. Not only were they a challenge to get on, but they didn’t hold a thing in. Very disappointing.
My birthday is April 26, 2022. I recently had a visitor named Ms. Laura, who came to see if she could lift me once I’m ready for foster care. I weigh a solid 90 pounds. I told her I was hoping to lose a little weight someday, but for now I’m big and wide. She just laughed. She wanted me to sit in her lap, but I chose to stare at her instead. I felt a bath was needed before we reached that level of friendship.
It’s important everyone knows I wasn’t an indoor Bulldog. I was a kennel Bulldog, so house rules are brand new to me. Please be patient. I’m still learning, and accidents might happen. My mama is Koko Lovebug. She’s much more confident than I am, but I’m working hard and learning how to walk on a leash today.
The struggle is real… but so is the journey.
