3/13/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome June Bug Boone to our rescue family! She writes: I’m a 3-year-old girl who just arrived in rescue this week. I was supposed to be the only one leaving the farm, but at the last minute my best buddy T. Boone Pickens decided he wasn’t letting me go anywhere without him and jumped right into the rescue wagon too!
I’ve had puppies before, and I’m proud to say I was a wonderful Bulldog mama. But that chapter of my life is behind me now. My days of raising babies are over, and I’m ready to focus on being someone’s beloved companion.
Now, I should tell you something important about me. I am not a laid-back Bulldog. I’ve got energy! I run just about everywhere I go. Think of me like the Energizer Bunny… but in Bulldog form. Because of that, I’m looking for a more active family who will enjoy walks, playtime and spending time with me.
Life on the farm meant there wasn’t always someone who could spend a lot of time with me. But when they did, it was the best feeling in the world. I would soak up every second and sit perfectly still while they scratched behind my ears. Those quiet moments meant everything to me.
So I’ll be honest. If you’re looking for a low-energy Bulldog, I’m probably not your girl. I wouldn’t be happy, and neither would you. But if you enjoy long walks, an active companion and have the patience to teach me some basic indoor manners, then you just might be the perfect match for me.
