12/24/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Koko Lovebug to our rescue family! She writes: On Christmas Eve, I need to make sure Santa knows I have a new address. I definitely don’t want him to forget about me! Of course, Santa already knows I’ve been the best Bulldog mama ever. I’m working on getting my baby weight off, but for now I’m still a little saggy… and yes, I’m proudly a bit thick.
I was born on April 9, 2021, and recently I had a visitor named Ms. Laura. She came to see if she could lift both me and my daughter, Journey Sage, since we had all our medical needs taken care of and needed a foster home. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, I brought my daughter with me when I left the farm! I climbed right up into Ms. Laura’s lap, but Journey Sage wasn’t quite convinced that lap-sitting was her thing, so she kept a little distance.
I should also be honest and let y’all know that we haven’t lived in a home before. We’ve only known kennel life. So before you get too excited about being matched to me or Journey Sage, please understand that we’ll need patience and help learning indoor and outdoor rules. We’re trying our very best, and we don’t want anyone to be upset if we make a few mistakes along the way.
We’ve left the farm, we’ve moved inside, and step by step (slowly but surely) we will learn. With love and understanding, we promise to become the best Bulldogs you’ve ever met.

3/28/26 UPDATE ~ We’re working to match Koko Lovebug to a great family for her! She writes: I wanted to send you a little note because my foster family says I’m finally ready to find my next home and I just had to re-introduce myself.
I’ve been here for a few weeks now, and I’m really starting to come into my own. I go on a couple of short walks each day while I work on my fitness journey (my foster family says I’m just a little “extra lovable” right now). I can hop halfway onto the couch all by myself, but I still appreciate a gentle boost from behind to make it all the way up. Teamwork makes the dream work, right?
I’ve discovered something pretty amazing here… toys! I have two big stuffies and two XL tennis balls, and I love them. I’m very gentle with them (they’re all still intact!), which makes my humans think I may not have had toys of my own before. I’ve also been learning from my fur-siblings and—big news—I’ve officially mastered the doggy door!
I’m a total pro when it comes to house training, and I sleep peacefully through the night in my crate (with the door open, just how I like it). When I’m not exploring the backyard or soaking up my favorite back scratches, I’m usually happily snoozing. Morning, afternoon and evening naps are kind of my specialty.
Most importantly, I’ve learned what it feels like to be safe, loved and cared for… and I’m so ready to find that feeling in a home of my very own. I can’t wait to meet my person… the one who will cherish and spoil me just like I’ve always dreamed.
