4/24/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Luna Montana to our rescue family.
Four-year-old Luna Montana believed she had found her forever home. With her sweet, soulful eyes and low-hanging belly ~ a quiet reminder of a past life likely spent as a devoted Bulldog momma ~ she carried both love and history with her. But those days were behind her. She stepped into a new chapter, becoming the cherished companion of a kind senior woman who adored her completely.
For a time, Luna Montana was everything to her mom. Her comfort, her joy, her constant presence. But life took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn. As Alzheimer’s began to take hold, there were days her mom recognized Luna Montana, and days she didn’t. Each moment of confusion was painful to witness, for both Luna Montana and the family who loved them.
Eventually, the family had to make an incredibly difficult decision. It was no longer safe for Luna Montana to be left alone, and their focus had to shift to caring for their mother. Saying goodbye was devastating. Tears fell freely as they let go of both the woman they once knew and the dog she loved so deeply.
Through their grief, one hope remains: that Luna Montana will find another home where she is treasured just as she once was… a place where she can be someone’s princess again.
Luna Montana weighs 41 pounds and is visiting the vet for a full evaluation. She may need some extra care, including attention to her eyes and possibly tail surgery, but she is so worth it. Beneath it all is a loving, loyal dog ready to give her whole heart to someone new.

5/12/26 UDPATE ~ From foster girl Luna Montana: Greetings, admirers. My name derives from romance languages because I am a romantic Bulldog. It translates to Moon Mountain. I will choose from several nicknames, but Looney, Monty and Mooney don’t make the cut.
Even more exciting, my personal kingdom has expanded. I have graduated from guest room confinement to FULL HOUSE privileges. This newfound freedom has allowed me to explore the premises and rediscover the fine art of giving and receiving love.
Naturally, I have claimed several strategic lounging locations near my foster dad while reclining elegantly on my day bed. He frequently reaches down to stroke my velvety face and whisper sweet compliments. I find this arrangement most acceptable.
And speaking of faces… have you seen my squishy beauty? Before now, no one could truly appreciate my magnificent Bulldog features in all their glory. I can practically hear hearts melting from here.
Also, I really enjoy relaxing under the shaded patio on my newly discovered Coolaroo bed. As the youngsters say… it’s a vibe.
Now hear this…. 411 for all you pups and people too young to remember: I am well on my way to rehabilitation and will soon be ready to join a family of my own.
Until then, my foster peeps and I are carefully reviewing the approved applications. I’ve been informed that gorgeous, loving Bulldogs such as myself do not stay available long at this popsicle stand.
