4/25/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Nova Nicole to our rescue family! She writes: Life is about knowing when to stay and when it’s time to go. For me, it was time.
My name is Nova Nicole, and I’m 3 ½ years old. My family loved me, but life got busy. Everyone was on different schedules, and most days I found myself alone in the backyard, keeping company with birds and squirrels. It wasn’t terrible… but it wasn’t the life I needed, especially with the summer heat on the way.
So when I heard rescue was coming, I didn’t fully understand what it meant, but I knew it meant change. And I hoped it meant being part of a family again.
I’ve had a bit of a past, including an unplanned litter of puppies, but those days are behind me now. I’m ready for a fresh start and a future that’s all about being loved and cared for.
Some people look at me and are quick to call me “fat,” but I prefer to think of myself as beautifully round because round is a shape too. With the right care, I’ll be feeling my best in no time.
I do need to get my vaccinations updated (my last vet visit was in 2022), and I’ve developed a cherry eye that will need attention. But those are just small steps on my way to a much brighter future.
Before long, you’ll see me heading into a foster home, and from there, I’ll join a family I’ve been waiting for… one that has the time, love and commitment I deserve.
