1/20/26 INTRODUCTION ~ On the very same day Noah Ty was found across town, another Bulldog was picked up by The Colony Animal Services. Pig Pen went straight to the vet. He was so weak he could barely stand on his own. Today, he was discharged from the vet clinic in The Colony and officially joined rescue.
1/23/26 UPDATE ~ From volunteer Dianne: Today, Pig Pen just wanted to be held. Even with medicated baths every other day, he still looks and feels as uncomfortable as his photos show. His condition is heartbreaking and truly takes your breath away…b but so does his trust and his need for comfort.Pig Pen has a long road ahead, but he is surrounded by care, compassion and people committed to helping him heal.
💙 If you’d like to support Pig Pen on his journey to wellness, donations can be made via dfwbulldogrescue.org/donate. Every contribution helps give him the care he desperately needs.
Thank you for standing with Pig Pen.
3/28/26 UPDATE ~ From the day he was found—too weak to stand, emaciated and in heartbreaking condition—to now, Pig Pen has already come so far. And today, we’re so happy to share that he’s officially out of the hospital and recovering in a loving foster home with his dedicated foster parents.
This next chapter is all about healing. After everything his little body has endured, Pig Pen is finally able to rest comfortably, soak up love and begin rebuilding his strength in a safe, quiet environment.
And true to who he’s always been, Pig Pen is still the same sweet boy who craves affection and connection. Despite everything he’s been through, his gentle spirit shines through, and he continues to remind us just how resilient he is.
He still has a road ahead of him, but he’s no longer facing it alone. With the care of his foster family and the support of everyone cheering him on, Pig Pen is finally getting the second chance he deserves.
Thank you for continuing to follow his journey and for keeping him in your thoughts…. this boy is worth it.
