2/15/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Welcome Rainy Day to our rescue family! She writes: I thought Valentine’s Day would be the perfect day to begin my new life. I don’t think I’d ever been anyone’s valentine before.
Two weeks ago, the sweetest man found me sitting outside a business in a very small crate. He stopped, asked about me, and learned that I had already had babies and that I was only 2 years old. My owner said he didn’t want me anymore.
But this new kind man did.
Even though I was filthy and far too thin, he scooped me up and held me tight. He promised he would clean me up, feed me good food and reach out to rescue to help me find an amazing family. Honestly, when he said ‘clean you up,’ I was all in. That sounded wonderful.
For the first time in a long time, I had a full bowl of food all to myself. I could eat until my tummy was satisfied. I started to feel better. I started to look better. And when the time was right, I told the three little dogs I had been staying with that I was leaving on Valentine’s Day to start my new chapter.
I was nervous… but I knew rescue would take good care of me.
And I was right.
Now look at me. I’m clean, safe and I spent my first Valentine’s Day in a beautiful place, feeling hopeful about what comes next.
