2/13/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Rick James to our rescue family! Rick James recently found himself sitting in a local shelter after his family surrendered him, but this 2-year-old hasn’t let that dim his spark.
Rick James has more energy than the Energizer Bunny. He runs everywhere he goes and brings full enthusiasm to everything he does. He’s strong, spirited, and mealtime is absolutely his favorite time (a true clean-bowl Bulldog!).
He would thrive with an active family that enjoys walks and will let him tag along on life’s adventures. He does great around other dogs and has been a total delight in my home over the past few days.
Be warned: if you head toward a door, front or back. Rick James will be right there, ready to join you. Because of his excitement and strength, he’ll do best with an experienced, patient owner who has the time to help him learn some basic manners like walk-don’t-run, door etiquette and keeping all four paws on the floor for attention.
Rick James craves love, adores bath time (he’ll happily stand in the tub waiting for you to turn on the water!), and is eager to bond with his person.
Rick James may be a “project Bulldog,” but he is absolutely worth the time. With structure, guidance and lots of love, this boy is going to be something truly special.
