12/7/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Tank Kringle to our rescue family! He writes: Hello Bulldog lovers…. it’s me, Tank Kringle, and I officially joined rescue today! 🎅
Yep, you read that right. This morning I packed up all my belongings (a giant box of my favorite things and a jumbo-sized wire crate) and marched right out the door like a big boy.
Speaking of big boys, my birthday is February 10, 2023, so I’m really just a baby with a whole lot of Bulldog personality. I’m current on vaccinations, neutered and even microchipped. My new rescue friends say my eyelashes might be turning inward a bit, so that’ll need to be checked out.
Now you might be wondering, “Tank, why did you join rescue?”
Well… here’s the scoop:
I’m a Bulldog with Bulldog-specific medical needs: seasonal allergies, eye issues and a strong desire to chew… everything. Sometimes the things I chew are mine. Sometimes they’re… not. 😬
As for potty training? Some days I’ve got it. Some days I don’t. I like to keep things interesting.
My ideal family will be home a lot and ready to teach me how to be a well-mannered Bulldog citizen. I want to be part of the family ~ not left in a crate all day.
Guess what? I’m not even unpacking, because with this face and my holiday charm, I doubt I’ll be in rescue for long. ❤️🎄🐶

2/8/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Tank Kringle has settled into foster life beautifully and is an absolute joy to have around. He’s a total people dog who loves being close to his humans, whether that means lounging on the couch or soaking up all the affection he can get.
One of the very best things about Tank Kringle is how he lights up when he sees his people. He gets so happy and excited that he does the cutest little dance, and it’s impossible not to smile when it happens. 💃🐶
It took a few days for Tank Kringle and the resident “cranky girl” to figure each other out, but they’ve found their groove and now peacefully coexist, sharing couch time and even foster mom’s lap. Tank Kringle is playful, sweet and full of personality.
He prefers a personal touch over independence. Tank Kringle isn’t a fan of the dog door, but he’ll politely stand by the door and wait for a human escort outside. At bedtime, he heads right into his kennel and sleeps quietly through the night with no fuss at all.
A note on progress:
Tank Kringle is still working through some potty/marking accidents in his kennel and on blankets. This is something we’re actively addressing, and he’s already making progress. With consistency, patience, and a solid routine, we expect continued improvement in his next home.
Tank Kringle is affectionate, loyal and ready to form a deep bond with his people. He’s going to be a wonderful companion for a family willing to continue his routine and guidance, and he’ll reward them with endless love.
3/27/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Tank Kringle is settling in beautifully and showing us just how sweet and loving he truly is! He absolutely adores his people and wants to be right by your side whenever he can. One of his cutest quirks? The little happy dance he does to greet you. It’s guaranteed to make you smile every time.
He’s a playful boy who would love a home with a four-legged sibling, especially one who enjoys a good wrestle session. Tank Kringle also does great with kids and really thrives on being part of the family.
Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, he’s still working through a few things in his foster home. The TV can make him a bit unsure at times, but he’s already gaining confidence and improving every day. He’s also continuing to learn good kennel and blanket habits, with lots of support and guidance from his foster family.
Overall, Tank Kringle is a joyful, affectionate pup who simply wants to be loved—and he has so much love to give in return.
