Stormy (now Merriweather)

Stormy (now Merriweather)

Our sweet Merriweather (Stormy) went to sleep this morning and woke up on the other side after fighting cancer. She really only had one bad day and that was yesterday. We are thankful for that. We are so very heartbroken but loved our time we got with our precious big  lump of sugar. Just wanted to let you know. Thank you for choosing us for her. She filled our lives with so much love and she had a good life with us and we love her so much.

Stormy has been adopted! From her foster momma: Stormy, now named Merriweather after one of the Three Good Fairies in Sleeping Beauty, has found her forever home. She will live a charmed life with her human brother and sister and her four-legged siblings. She was greeted with a basket of treats, personalized name tag , and a sparkly leash and flowered collar. She made herself right at home playing with the kids. When I left, she walked me to the door then turned to go with her new brother and sister. It was like she was saying, “Thanks for letting me stay with you for a while, but I’m home now.” They will all sleep well tonight!

Meet Stormy ! Picked up by a local animal control and her family never came for her. Stormy is thought to be under 2,  and what a nice bulldog she is . Stormy showed zero interest in fighting, or confrontation of any kind. Stormy was more of let’s just eat and get along .  Stormy has some bulldog skin stuff,  but on a scale of 1-10, I give this girl a 10!!

7/10/16 Update:  Stormy (aka Sas) is a doll. She loves people, kids and other dogs. My two pups are being a little bratty about her sharing their dad, but they are getting there. Stormy just looks at them like they’ve lost their minds. She was someone’s companion. She follows us (especially my husband) everywhere. No accidents in the house. She does not get on the furniture and only barks when she wants outside to potty or back inside from going potty. She is not very old, they think 2, but has had puppies. She has a c-section scar. Her spay is set for July 19th and I’m guessing she will find a forever home quickly.

7/18/16 Update:  Stormy (AKA Sas) is a true joy. She has no food aggressions, no toy aggressions, does not go potty in the house, no bad habits that we have found (she did learn how to jump on people when they first come in the room – a trick she learned from her fur foster brother and sister who have no manners). She does not get on the furniture, but if you open the car door, she will jump on the floorboard and then on to the seat. She loves going in the car. Today is the big day for her spay surgery. We are confident all will go well, and if she is feeling up to it, she will make an appearance at our Hollywood Feed event on Saturday. This young girl will be a great companion for her family. She has so much love to give.
