Legolas

Legolas

It’s your favorite elf checking in with some great news. Guess what? I was adopted! My new family decided that two is twice as much fun, so I also have a new brother named Maxfield, who was just adopted from Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue too. The best news? I did make it home in time for Christmas.

Not too long ago, Legolas, a charming Bulldog, found himself without a home. It seemed he’d been run off from one place to another until he finally came across a kind woman who welcomed him in.

Although she wasn’t familiar with Bulldogs specifically, she understood that this breed struggles in the intense Texas heat. She made sure Legolas was safe, well-fed, and comfortable while she searched for his original family.

After several weeks of searching with no success, the woman reached out to  rescue, and this is where Legolas’s new journey begins.

Despite his past hardships, Legolas is a lively and energetic young Bulldog. He’s been friendly and submissive with the dogs he’s met so far.

Weighing around 50 pounds, Legolas could use a bit more weight to match his head, feet and sturdy frame. With time and care, he’s sure to flourish and find the perfect home.

8/22/24 Update:  Let me introduce myself, my name is Legolas, I am told I was named after a Lord of the Rings Elf and with it being only 4 months until Christmas who couldn’t use a regal elf?

A little more about me, Miss Sonia picked me up from a lady who claimed to have found me, but it was all very strange because after I left with Miss Sonia the lady called and asked Miss Sonia when she was coming to pick me up like she had forgotten she had already taken me! Any who. I stayed at Miss Sonia’s house, and she took me for a check up and a little brain surgery on the back end and now I have made my way to the A5 with Foster Mom Kim and Doggie Dad Jeff.

First, they tell me I am beautiful! I am a big playful puppy who is learning how to sit, not eat flip flops! I have been about 90% great in the house but there was this one incident with mom’s Roomba. I overheard her say it was the worst thing that could happen with a Roomba, but who knew if you poo’d in front of it the silly thing would suck it up and deposit it all over the house live and learn!

Foster mom has introduced me to the Kitties, they are very soft, and I love them. Sometimes I bark at them to see if they will play with me, but most of the time they just glare at me. I am very good with my roommates the other bulldogs and I can even get them to play with me. My main playmate is a strange hairy dog called a mini Aussiedoodle named Tango He is a puppy too just like me and we love to run and play.

I am putting a family on my wish list for Christmas or Halloween if anyone is looking for a big beautiful, playful, brindle hunk I am your guy. I am pretty solid on my house training, I get an A plus in my crate. I would love an active family with other dogs that like to play. Oh, and I know a trick I love to High 5 .

9/6/24 Update:  Hello from your favorite elf! My foster mom has some exciting updates to share. She says I’ve been such a good boy lately—no more Roomba incidents!

I’ve also been showing off my smarts with some impressive tricks; my high fives are top-notch! Plus, Foster Mom is planning to get me a skateboard to see if I can learn to ride it. How cool is that?

I absolutely love all my fur friends, including the cats. I’m full of energy, but I always listen when Foster Mom asks me to sit. If you’re looking for the perfect elf to add some magic to your life, Christmas is coming, and I might be the one!

From his foster momma: Legolas is a big-hearted, playful pup with no mean bones in him. He would thrive in a lively, active household that loves cats and has space for his playful spirit.
