Miracle Molly

4/23/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster pops: The big day finally arrived… Miss Miracle Molly is officially adopted!

After bravely conquering heartworm and healing from her tail pocket surgery, Miracle Molly’s long-awaited happily-ever-after is here… and it was worth every step of the journey.

Rose made it official with a signed adoption agreement, and Miracle Molly, ever the proper lady, sealed the deal with a paw shake (her right paw, for formality, of course). While typically a “south paw,” Miracle Molly is known to use her left for waving hello and even opening her she-shed gate. Truly, she may be the only ambidextrous Bulldog around!

To make things official, Miracle Molly stamped her paw prints on the paperwork, but long before that, she had already left them all over Rose’s heart.

These two are already inseparable. From their first “meet and greet” to a home visit filled with excited grandchildren (who fully approved!), it was clear this was meant to be. In fact, the grandkids are already asking if Mimi can get them a Bulldog too… and Mimi just might be enjoying the extra visits that come with Miracle Molly at the center of attention. 😉

To celebrate, Rose and Miracle Molly marked the occasion with a well-deserved hamburger and pup cup, turning heads and winning hearts at the Wendy’s drive-thru along the way.

As every foster parent knows, adoption day brings both joy and a touch of heartbreak. But at the end of the day, it’s always about the dog and seeing Miracle Molly so happy, so loved and so home makes it all worthwhile.

To quote Miss Miracle Molly, “I did not hesitate when we left, but at the final kiss, I assured you, my foster peeps, that while I was finally in my furever home, you would always be my heart’s inspiration.”

This is what her heart sang as she pointed toward her new home in her mom’s pickup….
Away I drove off with a piece of your heart
As my adoptive family gave me a new start
But I heard you exclaim, with a tear in your eye
Fare thee well dear Bulldog, but never goodbye

Run free, sweet Miracle Molly. Your forever has just begun.

11/30/25 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Miracle Molly to our rescue family!

It was Thanksgiving Eve, just as the sun was rising, when Miracle Molly and her new travel buddy, Mistletoe Merry, hopped up and got ready for their transport. Both girls seemed to sense that a brand-new life was waiting for them, and they weren’t about to miss their chance. While everyone else was chopping, dicing and preparing for the holiday, Miracle Molly was busy counting her blessings and leaving her past behind.

Born on May 29, 2021, she became a momma at some point along the way, and if her puppies looked anything like her, we’re sure they were adorable.

Unfortunately, somewhere in her past, she also contracted heartworms, and her paperwork confirms she is heartworm positive. We explained to her that treatment can be tough, and how simple prevention could have spared her the pain. But Miracle Molly is a fighter. She’s headed into 30 days of doxycycline, two injections of immiticide and 30 days of crate rest. It sounds like a lot, but she’s already overcome so much, and she’s ready for this next challenge.

Through it all, Miracle Molly has remained the sweetest soul. She rode patiently, gazing out the window as if watching her past fade away and a brighter future come into focus. She’s now on her way to the life she deserves… one filled with love, security and happiness.

12/10/25 UPDATE ~ From foster dog Miracle Molly: Verily, good friends, yesterday I secured my new digs at Chez Maison Ménard BnB. The guest suite is truly palatial: multiple bed options, a private dining nook and even my very own she-shed. A girl could get used to this.

My alma mater (Latin scholars, that’s “foster mother”) liberated me from confinement, a donum Nativitatis per se. (Latin is a dying language, mind you. It killed the Romans and nearly took me out with them, but I digress…)

Foster Mom came armed with a celebratory spread for the ride home: home-smoked brisket, several cheeses, cantaloupe, pastries and ham. An auspicious beginning if ever there was one. We bonded over snacks, love and the promise of better days.

Imagine my surprise to learn that haute cuisine means all of my meals are cooked on-site: no processed kibble, no sad mystery nuggets.. just real food for humans and Bulldogs alike. I now lick my chops the moment the microwave beeps. Other Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue volunteers converted my peeps to the homemade-food lifestyle. Lucky doesn’t even begin to cover it.

On the drive home, Foster Mom serenaded me with Little Richard’s 1958 classic, “Good Golly Miss Molly.” Boomers, I challenge you to hear that tune and not dance. Go on. I’ll wait.

My peeps have welcomed several short-time foster dogs this year, so allow me to present my value proposition: If you’d like a loving Bulldog nestled under your Christmas tree, I may be your girl.

Send in those applications before Santa Paws’ reindeer go click, click, click across my rooftop. I may be your match.

Merry Christmas, all y’all. 🎄💋

12/25/25 UPDATE: From foster girl Miracle Molly: Foster Dad boasts fluency in multiple foreign languages, yet remains completely unaware of my advanced AI capabilities. I recently discovered an app that translates “Bulldog” into English. I barked my message, and the AI translated it perfectly. How cool is that?

This Christmas Eve, a letter to Santa Paws stirred deep within my doggy heart. While my ultimate wish (a new home) remains top priority, I humbly asked for patience. I requested a brief pause on my Christmas miracle while I conquer this pesky heartworm situation with my wonderful foster peeps. I asked Santa Paws to delay my new family gift until early February, when I’ll be fully healed and ready to give 100% of my love.

Meanwhile, life here at the ranch is downright luxurious. My peeps have recently converted to homemade doggy food. That’s right: I eat what you eat. Real meat, a colorful spread of vegetables and fruits and even pastry! For Bulldog Happy Hour, we indulge in puréed fruit with cottage cheese and yogurt. Appetizers include home-smoked brisket, baked cod and pupparoni. Uhm, uhm… chef’s kiss.

Christmas Day features French onion soup—made with red and yellow onions, shallots, garlic and leeks. Sadly, we Bulldogs must strictly avoid alliums. Still, I find the idea of brioche croutons with gruyère cheese quite appealing, so perhaps that will be served as my special side.

My fur roomie is a bit of a crotchety curmudgeon, so we don’t even do the traditional butt-sniff anymore.

Foster Mom is my favorite, but I’m warming up to Foster Dad. He showers me with affection after dinner while we watch TV, and I soak up every ounce of love. He always has love waiting at the end of his arm. I’m learning how to accept gentle male affection I don’t think I’ve known before.

Maybe you’ll be my perfect match for my next home? Lovers like me don’t stay around for long.

Merry Christmas 🎄

1/3/26 UDPATE ~ From foster dog Miracle Molly: May I request your audience for my New Year Urbi et Orbi message?

My brief stay with Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue fills me with overwhelming gratitude. Who could have imagined that a once-discarded Bulldog would be so cherished, nourished, comforted and treated like a true member of the family?

Life in foster care has been nothing short of wonderful. Foster Mom and I have become the very best of girlfriends, sharing cozy evenings, heartfelt bonding and plenty of love on the sofa after dinner. She feeds me, after all, so our bond is unbreakable.

Foster Day has also learned that I’m full of surprises. Just last night, I treated him to a spontaneous zoomie followed by an enthusiastic leap onto the loveseat, colliding with him like a middle linebacker. He responded with endless affection until I drifted into a blissful, love-induced haze, and he never stopped petting me.

So, why should I join your home?
• Timeless beauty (officially documented, of course).
• Deep devotion to my humans. I’m happy to share furniture, movies, football games or anything else you bipeds enjoy.
• A curious spirit that loves exploring the world.
• A sunny, joyful temperament that brightens every day.

Once my heartworm treatment concludes in mid-February, I’ll be ready to officially consider adoption proposals. Until then, my people will be reviewing approved applications and thoughtfully presenting them to me for final consideration.

With gratitude and bum wags,
Miracle Molly

1/17/26 UPDATE ~ From foster girl Miracle Molly: I’ve been a very busy girl, so please pardon my absence over the past couple of weeks. Celebrating Elvis Presley’s 91st birthday last week reminded me that I am, in fact, a hunk-a-hunk of burning love. And if you’ve got it… well, you should definitely flaunt it.

This weekend (and next) I’ve been busy cheering on my New England Pats. My jersey may fit a lineman, but my body type is much more place kicker chic, just saying…

My foster people say I’m an exquisite lover, though admittedly a bit of a momma’s girl. I adore my foster dad and his homemade cooking (a girl appreciates effort), and I make sure to sneak in kisses whenever I can. Preferences aside, I spread the love generously.

When you adopters meet me, you should know I greet properly, with a handshake. Left forepaw only. That’s just how I roll.

I’m also a total sunshine girl. Outside, I chase bright rays, and inside, I carefully relocate myself to the sunniest spot available. Life is good when you’re a happy Bulldog.

I’m reviewing approved applicants now, so I will have the family of my dreams when I complete my heartworm treatment. Wish me luck.

1/26/26 UPDATE ~ From foster girl Miracle Molly: Today was the first day without precipitation, but it was still far too cold to venture outside for anything beyond essential excretory exercises. ❄️Luckily, I’m a resourceful girl and know exactly how to celebrate a “no school” kind of day.  I drag my day bed into a sunny spot and luxuriate in the warmth. Naturally, I must reposition it several times throughout the afternoon. The sun simply refuses to stay put.

2/16/26 UDPATE ~ From foster dog Miracle Molly: It’s been quite a week for me, but I’m happy to say I was back in my foster home just in time for Valentine’s Day and feeling so loved.

Foster Mom took me to see my dogtor so I could continue my heartworm treatment. I’ll admit, I was a little unsure when she gave me a goodbye kiss, but I was in very good hands the whole time. The veterinary team took great care of me while I received the injections I needed to get healthy. It wasn’t the most fun few days, but it’s an important step toward my bright future.

And the best part? I’m back at my cozy BBnB with my comfy bed, gourmet meals and loving foster family. When Foster Mom came to pick me up, I was so happy to see her! 💚

Now for some extra good news! When I arrived on December 9, I weighed just over 52 pounds. Today, two months later, I’m down to 45.8 pounds. That’s a 12% weight loss! I’m feeling lighter, healthier and ready for beach season.

I’ll be resting and relaxing for the next 30 days while I recover, which gives me plenty of time to review those approved applications. I’m looking forward to my bright future!

2/28/26 UPDATE ~ From foster girl Miracle Molly: Announcing some very important developments… I’m moving on up in the world!

That’s right… I have officially earned Doggy Dormitory Privileges.

After several daytime “trial visits,” I hit the big time last night and spent the entire night snoozing beside Foster Dad on his bed. All. Night. Long.

It beats the heck out of sleeping in my open she-shed guest suite. A girl can get used to this upgraded lifestyle.

So… how do you think I would look in your bed? 😉

In other exciting career news, I’ve also been promoted to Kitchen Patrol Squadron Team Commander here at Bullies Chez Maison Ménard BBnB.

My duties include close supervision of all kitchen activities whenever the foster peeps assume the position at the food preparation venues. They make real food for us Bulldogs. The same delicious stuff you bipeds eat!

Occasionally, appetizers fall directly into my eager jaws. I consider this performance-based compensation.

When I pause during kitchen patrol, you may notice another stunning Bulldog in the window. That, my friends, is my doppelganger. We are both very committed to quality control.

And as I stand guard by the house plant, I keep a watchful eye on Foster Mom. She may require assistance taste-testing the hors d’oeuvres at any moment. It’s demanding work.

All this responsibility requires a very disciplined nap regimen… and I believe I feel one coming on now.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal Bulldog who can:
✔️ Share your bed like a pro
✔️ Keep your kitchen floors spotless
✔️ Supervise snack preparation with enthusiasm
✔️ Master the art of the professional nap

Well… I’m looking for a home, too. Maybe we should connect. 💛

4/5/26 UPDATE ~ GOOD NEWS BREWIING ALERT for Miracle Molly! She shares: I’m having the BEST weekend of my life!

My soon-to-be mom and Auntie Patti have come to visit me three times at my foster peeps’ house, but this time, they made a very important stop first… to pick up some serious swag just for me!

Can you even handle my glow-up?! I’m now rocking two strands of pearls, a fabulous purple bow and a matching Bullhug harness. I mean… be honest—am I a total knockout or what? 💁‍♀️

Purple is the color of royalty, and I’m pretty sure it’s a sign of the queenly life that’s waiting for me just ahead.

After the humans enjoyed their Reubens (rude, not sharing), and we pups had our own delicious Bulldog Happy Hour, I made it VERY clear it was time for an adventure. I ran straight to the pickup, claimed my spot, and insisted on being properly buckled in for the ride… safety first!

When we arrived at my future home, I conducted a full and very thorough inspection. I checked out all the important things: my bed, the dining area and overall comfort levels. Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue has taught me to have high standards, so this was a real home visit, not just virtual!

My official verdict? I LOVE it and can’t wait to move in!

But… my big move will have to wait just a little longer. I still need my tail surgery, which can’t happen until I finish my heartworm treatment. We’re hoping for the end of April!

I also got to spend some sweet time with my new mom (she’s the best 🥰), and I hear that once I’m all settled in, we’ll be heading out on an RV road trip to Maryland for a graduation… and I’ve got my ears perked for something called crab cakes?!

So much to look forward to, and so many adventures ahead. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my journey. I feel so loved every step of the way. I’ll be sure to keep you posted when my big day finally arrives!
