You won’t believe my news. I’m excited to announce that I’ve been adopted! Yes, you read that right—an amazing family decided to make me a part of their pack.
You might recognize my new parents, Laura and Mike, and my fellow Bulldog siblings ~ they are all Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue alumni.
We have Alvin (who’s now 10 and was adopted in 2022), Thelma and Louise! As for the “chunky” ladies, well, they won’t share their ages, but they’re older too, and were also adopted in 2022. Previous residents here were Scrunchie, Rayne and Billy Bob.
When I first came into rescue, I thought I might never leave—that I’d just stay in my foster home, never finding my adoptive home. After all, senior Bulldogs like me are often passed over. Not many people want to open their heart to a seasoned dude like me.
But look at me now—I’ve gone from feeling like a senior to realizing I’m still young at heart! I’m living the lifestyle of the rich and famous, just like every Bulldog dreams of.
A big shout-out to my previous foster family, who helped me along the way, and to my new family for making my dreams come true.
Ruban, a sweet 7-year-old Bulldog, joined our rescue today.
His arrival was bittersweet; Ruban didn’t see this change coming. It’s a tough day for him, as his family had to move in with relatives who unfortunately, don’t allow dogs. We get it ~ sometimes life can be challenging, and sometimes circumstances shift unexpectedly.
Ruban may be a senior, but he’s still a stellar boy. He has a gentle spirit and a calm demeanor. While he isn’t overly active, he knows that the bathroom is outside and often enjoys lounging in his bed, keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings. We can’t help but wonder what’s going through his mind—he seems to be thinking, “Who are you, and why am I here?”
During a stroll through the pumpkin patch, we took our time, pausing for Ruban to gather his thoughts and perhaps search for a familiar face.
Despite his uncertainty, he hopes for an application from someone who would love a senior Bulldog. He’s brought along his crate, bed, and dog food, but deep down, he’s wishing his stay in rescue will be brief and full of love.
