10/12/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT…. times two!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please welcome Tyler (AKA Tulip Magnolia) back to our rescue family! From volunteer Kayle: Say hello (again) to Tulip Magnolia, formerly known as Tyler! This tiny sweetheart is 7 years old and weighs just 39 pounds—small but mighty, and full of heart.
Tulip spent many years with her family, but life took a turn. After a new baby arrived, tensions rose between Tulip and her dog sister, creating stress for everyone. Her family loved her deeply, and with heavy hearts, they made the decision to call us—knowing we’d help Tulip find the peace and stability she deserves.
Now back with Lone Star, Tulip is slowly settling in. She’s a gentle little love bug, understandably a bit nervous with all the recent changes, but her sweet personality shines through. She’s currently bunking with a male dog and doing great—no issues at all, just two buddies figuring things out together.
She’s up to date on vet care and officially on the lookout for her next home. It might be best for Tulip to have a home with no small children and maybe just a male dog companion, but we’re going to take our time and let Tulip show us what makes her happiest.
Stay tuned for more updates on this adorable little lady—she’s one to keep an eye on!
Miss Tyler got up yesterday and packed her bags to join her new family … and boy was she ready! We were slowly getting her things together and she had her harness on and was dancing and singing and telling us, “Hurry up! I have places to go!”
Once we got there, Tyler made herself at home. She walked right over to her new toy box, picked out her toys and got right up on the couch. Her new momma and dad were so excited to bring their girl home. They already had a bed, with a cute pillow, new toys, treats and anything a little princess could ask for waiting for her arrival. Tyler girl will live the life of luxury with her new family, and we couldn’t be happier! Have fun sweet girl!
My mom has cried a million tears. She never thought things would change. She planned to take care of me forever. Let’s just say surrendering me to rescue was the hardest decision she has ever made in her life.
But, due to some unforeseen changes, my mom believed she was making the best choice for me. She wants me to find a family that has time to play with me and time to love me. I am all about the love. So, I packed my backpack and I am ready to find a forever family that loves me just as much as my mom loved me.
I am 2 years old and I am a GIRL! I know ~ you thought I was a dude, but nope, I am a GIRL. I have one of those cool unisex names! I love my name and I know my name, so please don’t go trying to change my name.
My mom talked to the rescue lady several times. She knows I am doing really well. She knows I am now sitting in Dr. Larsen’s lap at the vet clinic and she is brushing my fur. She’s making me wear some girly stuff because it’s cold outside and she loves to play dress up with the Bulldogs.
Before you know it, I will be ready for my new family to find me. My new family is really going to love me. I am crate trained, potty trained and I am past the point of chewing up the shoes and the furniture. I am about 35 lbs of perfection, if I do say so myself. Love, Tyler, the beautiful Bulldog babe
4/1/19 UPDATE: I’m checking in from the passenger seat of Foster Ma’s car. She came to Puckett’s Nursery on Sunday to pick me up so I can crash at their house for a while. I have been to Hollywood Feed and picked out a toy and some treats, and I am now helping her pick up her groceries. So far, I would say my first few hours in my new foster home has been awesome. I got lots of love at Hollywood Feed, and I have ridden in Foster Ma’s lap the whole ride. I am a very tiny girl, and fit in just about any nook and cranny I like. Stay tuned for more updates!
3/29/25 UPDATE: All I can say is that she is the SWEETEST foster girl ever! I picked her up on Saturday, and by that night, I was already in love.
She’s incredibly sweet, doesn’t bother the resident curmudgeon Bulldog, and is fully potty trained (it’s been years since I’ve had one of those!). She’s petite, agile, and just a joy to have around.
She’s been sleeping on my bed the past few nights… and while she might snore louder than me, I’m not complaining!
She had a blast at our Bulldog Bonanza at Hollywood Feed in Allen on Sunday—she might’ve been a little overwhelmed, but she absolutely loved the attention. By the time we got home, she was ready to crash on the couch.
It’s hard to believe she’s around 7 or 8—she certainly doesn’t act like it, and she certainly doesn’t look it either!
5/23/25 UPDATE: Tyler was so excited to hop in the car for our ride to the Pizza Paw-ty at Campisi’s yesterday! She had a blast meeting everyone and was absolutely wonderful with both adults and kids.
She was so happy to be out and about, she had to take a few “sploot breaks” just to recharge her puppy energy.
Tyler is still waiting for her perfect match—a family that will play with her, love her, and let her be the Velcro girl she was born to be.
And trust me—if you’re her person, she’ll make sure you know it. You’ll be hers for life.
5/23/25 UPDATE: From the foster momma: Sweet Tyler keeps asking me… “Foster momma, when will someone choose me?”
She looks up at me with those big, soulful eyes — the kind of look that just melts your heart. It’s the face of a girl who’s ready to love and be loved, wondering when her person will finally find her.
And honestly? I don’t have a good answer. Because I know, without a doubt, that she’s perfect for someone out there — someone looking for a gentle, loyal, and loving companion just like her.
8/26/25 UPDATE: From Tyler’s foster momma: Tyler is still waiting… but she hasn’t given up hope.
What can I say about this sweet little girl? At 7 years old, Tyler has the heart (and energy!) of a 4-year-old. She follows me around like a loyal shadow and is always ready for a cuddle.
9/30/25 UPDATE: Every day, sweet Tyler looks up at her foster mom with the kind of eyes that ask, “When will it be my turn?”And every day, we wish we had the answer.
Tyler has been searching for her family since March. That’s six long months of hoping, six months of cuddling close to her foster mom at night, wondering when someone will finally see how special she is.
But here’s the truth: Tyler isn’t just a good dog. She’s the best kind of dog.
🩷 At around 7 or 8 years old, Tyler is the perfect mix of gentle soul and playful spirit. She’s petite, healthy and as polite as they come — even using pee pads like a little lady when her foster mom’s away.
🛏️ She sleeps peacefully on the bed (yes, she snores, but we’re not complaining), rides like a pro in the car and turns heads everywhere she goes with her sweet, expressive face.
🐾 Whether she’s splooting at a pizza party, soaking up attention at a Bulldog Bonanza or just following her foster mom from room to room, Tyler is all about love and loyalty. She’s a true Velcro girl. If you’re her person, you’ll never feel alone again.
She gets along just fine with the resident grumpy Bulldog and is happy to share her space… as long as there’s room for snuggles and belly rubs.
So why hasn’t anyone chosen her?
We don’t know. Maybe because she isn’t a puppy. Maybe because she isn’t flashy or loud or begging for attention. But that’s not who Tyler is. She’s the quiet kind of wonderful — the kind of dog who steals your heart slowly, then never lets go.
❤️ Tyler is ready. She’s ready to love someone with everything she has. She just needs a chance.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it.
Please help us give Tyler the home she’s been dreaming of. Share her story. Tell a friend. Let’s help this girl finally hear the words she’s been waiting for:
“Welcome home.”
