4/5/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Chocolate Chip to our rescue family! He writes: I officially joined yesterday and I’m ready to start my next chapter.
The good news? I don’t have a sad story to share. I’ve been loved my whole life. But with three tiny humans under the age of 3, my family made the incredibly difficult, and very loving, decision to help me find a home where I can get all the time and attention I deserve.
I’m still just a baby myself at 8 months old, with lots of love to give, playful energy and so much potential ahead of me!
Before I’m ready for adoption, I’ll be having a quick procedure to correct my cherry eye. Once I’m all healed up, I’ll be ready for my next family.
I can’t wait to show you more of my personality as I settle in. Stay tuned!

4/17/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Chocolate Chip may look a little sad in his “cone of shame,” but don’t let that fool you this sweet boy is actually feeling pretty great!
He’s happy to have his cherry eye surgery behind him and to finally be seeing clearly again. He’s happy the amazing dogters took such good care of him. And most of all, he’s happy for the incredible supporters who make surgeries like this possible. Thank you for giving pups like Chocolate Chip a second chance!
Over the past few weeks, Chocolate Chip has been settling into his foster home and proving himself to be a top-tier houseguest. He’s great on a leash and loves his walks, enjoys the company of the resident Bulldog (and happily lets her be the boss), and sleeps like a champ in his crate every night. He’s a big fan of snuggles, toys and soaking up sunshine. His favorite place is wherever his humans are.
For a puppy, he’s doing pretty amazing! He’s still working on perfecting his potty skills and learning the difference between chew toys and… well, everything else. 😄
